mama's chair

A huge part of my day, to keep sanity intact, is sipping a cup of coffee (read, 32 oz travel mug of coffee) in my chair, in the sun. If these things do not align (cloudy like today, or too busy to sit and properly sip) well, then the day is, eh, not bad, just not perfect. You know?

I sip. I cuddle. I nurse baby. I plan our day. I pray for our day. I catch up on world news (yes, somehow I still care), Facebook, blogs, etc. I listen to music. And I squint into the sun, streaming through just right on winter mornings.

And the day, well, it could just be perfect, for a little while anyway.
